Traffic jam at BC Road due to highway works

Bantwal: Ongoing construction on the BC Road-Adyapadi four-lane highway caused significant traffic disruption near the BC Road circle on Tuesday afternoon, leading to a jam lasting about an hour.

Repeated changes in traffic routes due to the work have left vehicle drivers confused. On Tuesday morning, yet another route alteration resulted in congestion, affecting the National Highway, the Dharmasthala Road, and the Bantwal Market connecting road by midday.

The situation worsened when a tipper collided with a car, prolonging the jam. Traffic police eventually arrived and managed to restore order.
