Truck rams boulder on Charmadi ghat

A driver of a lorry escaped with minor injuries after the vehicle rammed into a boulder on the Charmadi Ghat.

The mishap took place at the 6th turn on Charmadi ghat, connecting Kottigehara and Chikkamagaluru.

The driver of the lorry, proceeding towards Mangaluru reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the boulder. The front portion of the lorry was damaged in the mishap.

It is said that the heavy rain in the Charmadi Ghat area over the last two days has affected visibility on the roads, thus causing the accident.
