The young girl, identified as Pragya, was the daughter of the complainant, Kritika (55), and a resident of Herga village in Manipal.
The unfortunate incident occurred at Saralebettu High Point Heights Terrace, located in Herga village, Udupi taluk, at around 6:20 am on Sunday. Pragya was immediately rushed to the KMC hospital for emergency medical care. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, the young girl did not respond to treatment and tragically passed away in the hospital at 7:45 am.
The Manipal police station has registered a case in connection with the incident.
