Udupi: Former Indian cricketer and current head coach of India’s Under-19 and ‘A’ teams, V.V.S. Laxman, visited Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi on Wednesday. He and his family sought the blessings of Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana Deity.
Following the darshan, he participated in the “Koti Geeta Lekhana Yajna Deeksha” at the Geeta Mandira. He received the divine blessings and mantra-akshate from Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji, the pontiff of the Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha.
Accompanied by his wife, G.R. Shailaja, son Sarvajit Laxman, and daughter Achintya Laxman, the family also visited other sacred shrines in the coastal and Malnad regions, including Shringeri, Horanadu, Kollur, Murudeshwar, and Gokarna, offering their prayers.
