The Japanese delegation is in Udupi as special guests for Sri Puthige Matha’s Vishwa Gita Paryaya.
During the school visit, the delegates interacted with the staff and students and also served lunch.
Rev. Kosho Niwano, the President-designate of Rissho Kosei-kai, believes in the principle that “service is the highest religion.” In her to the children, Rev. Niwano emphasized that “discipline and service should be an integral part of life.” The Reverend also thanked Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada of Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha for the invite to Paryaya Mahotsava.

Dr. A. Keshavraj, the American scientist overseeing the delegation’s visit for the three-day Paryaya Mahotsava, introduced Rev. Kosho Niwano. All Japanese dignitaries sat on the floor, with folded hands, and bowed their heads in prayer, as they listened to the students melodiously singing verses from the Bhagavad Gita.
