Udupi: Third accused arrested in Karkala gang rape case

Udupi: In a significant development in the Karkala gang rape case, police have successfully arrested a third suspect, Abhay (23) from Karkala. This arrest follows the earlier apprehension of two suspects, Altaf and Shraved Richard Quadras.

District Superintendent of Police Dr. K. Arun stated that during the investigation, it was found that Abhay had supplied intoxicants to the main accused, Altaf, and later attempted to assist him in evading capture.

Abhay has been arrested under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act, and he will be presented in court tomorrow, where the police will seek his custody for further investigation.

Dr. K. Arun also mentioned that two more suspects are currently under investigation, and their involvement in the case is being thoroughly examined.

The police had previously arrested Altaf and Shraved Richard Quadras in connection with the case.
