Ullal bridge repair work disrupts traffic on national highway

Ullal: Severe traffic disruption occurred on the Ullala Netravathi Bridge along National Highway 66 on Thursday, December 19, leaving commuters stranded and causing significant delays.

Due to repair activity, conducted during peak hours on the bridge, commuters, including ambulance services and travelers heading towards Mangaluru from Kerala, queued up for nearly 2 kilometers.

The National Highway Authority’s decision to permit repairs during peak hours without ensuring traffic diversion has drawn criticism.

The traffic chaos left office-goers, students, and daily commuters stranded for hours.

Commuters have urged authorities to plan road maintenance activities more efficiently to prevent such issues in the future.
