Unidentified miscreants assault Ira GP President

Bantwal: Unidentified miscreants on Saturday, November 30 nigh assaulted Ira Gram Panchayath President with a sharp weapon.

The injured is Razzak Kukkaje, Ira Gram Panchayath President is also a Congress party member.

As per the sources, the incident took place when Razzak was at a clinic. Three unidentified men arrived on bike assaulted Razzak with swords and fled the spot.

Razzak is currently undergoing treatment at private hospital. However, the motive behind the attack is yet to be known.

Local police have registered a case in this regard and investigation is on.
