Manipal: Attempts to portray ‘Homa and Havan’ rituals as superstitions are still going on today. Hindus should unite by forgetting the caste, creed, and regional differences for countering such narrative and for the well-being of the world, said Puttur Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha’s president and senior RSS functionary Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.

He was speaking after inaugurating a religious event held on Sunday as part of Atirudra Mahayaga Sankalpa Diwas and Mrittika Puja at Shivpadi Sri Umamaheshwara Temple.

Prabhakar Baht said Hinduism wants the welfare of the world. Hinduism can never be against secularism. India is the only country that worships mother. Westerners cannot tolerate this. Thus, there is an attempt to portray the Hindu rituals as superstition, he claimed.

Hinduism is not a religion, but a way of life. Hindu society is a monogamous culture and religion that seeks the welfare of all, he opined.
