The production houses like Marvel, Warner Bros, and other studios will be producing superhero movies based on comic book characters. In addition to the current characters, we can expect to watch new characters of Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) in upcoming films.

2. Bloodshot — February 21, 2020
Vin Diesel will start in this superhero movie by Valiant Comics. This is the character of a soldier brought back to life with enhanced abilities.
3. The New Mutants — April 3, 2020
Directed by Josh Boones, this is a movie centered around mutants who become trapped in a facility. This movie is set to hit the theatres in April 2020, as people are skeptical about this movie getting a big-screen release considering the franchise’s previous movie ‘Dark Phoenix’ run at the box office.
4. Black Widow — May 1, 2020
This is a standalone movie set in Budapest with Scarlet Johansson debuting as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. Scarlet Johansson debuted with this role 10 years back in ‘Iron Man 2’.
This film will also provide closure for fans who saw Black Widow’s sacrifise for the mission in ‘Avengers: Endgame.’
5. Wonder Woman 1984 — June 5, 2020
This is a sequel of the Wonder woman franchise and Gal Gadot return as the lead character. As the title suggest, this movie will be set in the 80’s. the makers of the film have released the photo from the movie that shows the Gadot will be rocking in a new metallic suit.
6. Morbius — Summer 2020
Jarad Leto will star in this film as ‘Morbius’ a vampire who appeared as Spider man’s marvel comics. In March Leto shared his photo post completing the first week of filming.
As per the twitter bio of the film, the film will be released in July 2020.
7. Untitled Venom 2 — October 2020
Tom Hardy will reprise with his character in the movie ‘Venom 2’. Despite receiving negative reviews by the critics, the fans enjoyed this movie and film performed well at the box office with collecting $ 800 mn.
The sequel is underway by Sony Pictures and was confirmed by the protagonist with his photo on Instagram.
The Marvel has listed an untitled sequel for October 2020, however, Sony has not confirmed the release date yet.
8. The Eternals – November 2020
this movie will be the first installment of Marvel’s fourth phase. Immortals is about a group of people with special skills.
Anjalina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjinani and Brian Tyree Henry, will be starring in this superhero movie.
9. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings — February 2021
This movie is based on characters from the Marvel comics which were introduced in 1973. Destin Danial Cretton will direct and Simu Liu will play the lead role.
10. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness — May 2021
Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his character of Doctor Strange along with Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch. This movie set to have a horror theme and it will like to Disney Plus series, WandaVision featuring scarlet Witch.
11. The Batman — June 2021
After Christian Bale and Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson will suit up as Batmen in this new installment of the DC franchise. Matt Reeves will be directing the movie.
12. Untitled Spider-Man 3 — July 2021
This will be the tom holland’s next adventure post the success of Spider-Man – far from home and this film expected to narrate how things play outpost the ending of its prequel.
13. Suicide Squad Vol. 2— August 2021
This star-studded movie will be directed by James Gunn and revealed the cast in a post on social media in September.
From the previous movie, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) will reprise their DC roles. Idris Elba, Nathan Fillion, Taika Waititi, Storm Reid, John Cena, Pete Davidson, and Peter Capaldi will be Newcomers to the franchise.
14. Thor: Love and Thunder— November 2021
Taika Waititi will direct the fourth Thor movie. Chris Hemsworth will lead as the titular character with Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.
15. Black Adam – December 2021
Dwane Johnson revealed in November 2019 that he will be portraying the role of Black Adam from DC comics. He also called this role as “unlike any other, I’ve played in my career.”
16. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – April 2022
After the success of the 2018 animated sony film, this movie will be released in 2022.
17. Black Panther 2 – May 2022
The filmmakers of the film have announced in August 2019 that, this movie will be released in 2022.
Ryan Coolger will be returning to direct the second movie of Black Panther.
18. Untitled Aquaman 2— December 2022
Jason Momoa will be reprising his role as Aquaman for this sequel and it is expected to release by end of December 2022.
