The deceased has been identified as Dixit, son of Harishchandra, a resident of Karopadi.
The mishap took place after Dixit lost control of his bike and rammed into a lorry near the Kolpe mosque. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru. However, he died without responding to the treatment.
A case has been registered in Uppinangadi police station.
