Venur: Bike-Eicher lorry collision; youth dies on spot

A biker was killed on the spot after an Eicher lorry collided with his two-wheeler in front of Pilya Masjid near Aladangady here.

The deceased has been identified as Praveen Acharya, a resident of Kudyadi village.

The mishap took place on September 15 night. The driver of the Eicher vehicle sped off from the accident spot. It is gathered that his vehicle was later intercepted at the junction.

Praveen’s mortal remains were sent to the Belthangady hospital mortuary.

Venur police arrived at the spot and began an investigation.
