A video capturing an elderly man lighting a ‘beedi’ inside a Delhi metro train has caused outrage on social media. The video swiftly gained traction on social media, prompting netizens to call on the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to take action.
For those familiar with Delhi Metro, smoking within the premises is strictly prohibited and considered a punishable offense. Several platforms shared the video, urging DMRC to take firm measures against the individual.
The exact date and location of the incident remain unknown. The footage shows the man taking out the ‘beedi’ from his pocket and igniting it, while seated inside the Delhi Metro, in front of fellow passengers. Some can be heard advising him against it, to which he responds by mentioning he has a ticket.
