Vijayapura: Elderly man arrested for raping 9-year-old girl

Vijayapura: In an inhuman and twisted act, a 60-year-old man allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl who used to come to his house to play.

The elderly man’s vile act came to light after the victim bled profusely.

A man named Ayub Momin is accused of raping the young girl.

The victim was rushed to the government hospital for treating the excessive bleeding caused by the sexual assault.

The Gandhi Chowk police station police were informed about the incident and have started investigations.

Based on the girl’s statement, the police have detained the accused Momin and started interrogating him.

A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered in this regard at the women’s police station in the city.
