In addition to the award ceremony, the inauguration of the Justice K.S. Hegde Rural Health Center was a notable highlight. This center, with a construction and maintenance cost of about Rs. 2 crores, was established by Nitte Pariganita University on behalf of the Shirva Vidyavardhaka Campus. The inauguration was conducted by retired Supreme Court of India Justice N. Santhosh Hegde, while the event was presided over by N. Vinaya Hegde, the Chancellor of Nitte University.
