Addressing a gathering in Kadaba on December 26 Gowda recalled a significant event organized by himself and Okkaliga leaders in Bengaluru, featuring Bhairavaikya Adichunchanagiri Sri Balagangadhara Nath Swamiji.

“In that program I had asserted that the blessings of Adichunchanagiri Swamiji paved the way for me to become the Chief Minister, due to which I lost the post,” said Gowda.

Announcing his retirement from electoral politics, Gowda affirmed that he won’t be contesting any future elections. However, he emphasized his continued commitment to party activities. While acknowledging the opportunities provided by the party, he critiqued the present political landscape, lamenting the compromised nature of contemporary politics.

Gowda remarked on the current state of politics, noting the prevalence of factionalism, the inflated egos, and the lack of integrity. Despite these challenges, he affirmed his dedication to the democratic process, vowing to work for the party with the belief that his party stands out compared to others.
