Locals and visitors will soon be able to cross a 2,073.5-foot-long glass bridge in Vietnam’s northern highlands town of Moc Chau, which is touted to be the world’s longest glass bridge.

On Reunification Day (April 30), a national holiday in Vietnam, the bridge named Bach Long will open to the public.

The official length of the glass bridge is being submitted to Guinness World Records for certification as the world’s longest glass bridge, according to officials with the Moc Chau Island Tourist Area in Son La Province.

The 1,410.7-foot-long glass bridge that spans the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in China’s Hunan Province now holds the record.

The glass bridge has been photographed and videotaped and is now accessible on the internet. The stunning architecture has already had a tremendous impact on netizens and residents, as expected.

The bridge is almost 500 feet above the earth and is located about 200 kilometers from Hanoi. It is composed of ultra tempered glass from Saint Gobain, a prominent French firm.

According to reports, the location would also have a cable car system imported from South Korea.

According to Hoang Manh Duy, a spokesperson of the Moc Chau Island Tourist Area, when the bridge opens to the public on April 30, just 500 people will be able to go across it at a time.

In 2021, a bridge in China’s Zhejiang province perplexed people so much that they mistook it for a fake.

Because of its shape, the Ruyi glass bridge is known as the “bending” bridge. It sits 140 meters above the earth.

The bizarre architecture that went into its creation completely confused people. The fact that two pieces of the bridge overlap make it even more surreal.
