'We are one first,' Kerala govt advertises opposition to CAA

New Delhi: Kerala Government published an advertisement in the city editions of newspapers hailing the state's legislative assembly as the first in the country to pass a unanimous resolution against CAA on Friday, January 10. The advertisement lead with 'We are one first' and a photo of Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan followed by the efforts of the state to protect constitutional values. The state government stayed the work on National Population Registration on December 20, considering, 'apprehension among the general public.' Additionally, the state's assembly passed a resolution demanding to scrap CAA on December 31.
