Speaking to the reporters, Siddaramaiah said, “What is wrong in Hamsalekha’s statement? Even though his statement was based on the actual scenario, a case was filed against him.”

Recently, Sandalwood music composer and scriptwriter, Hamsalekha’s remarks on Swamiji Sri Vishwesha Theertha had received heavy backlash from people worldwide.

During an award function at Mysuru, Hamsalekh referred to the Pejawar Swamiji’s initiative of visiting the Dalit colonies. He said, “Pejawar Swamiji can only go and sit there. Would he eat chicken if offered? I don’t think it is a big achievement.”
