‘Will release documents relating to scandal by a minister in the House,’ says HDK

Bengaluru: In an explosive statement, former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy claimed that he had evidence of a scam involving a minister which caused the exchequer a huge loss.

Speaking to reporters, Kumaraswamy said that he has requested Legislative Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri to allot time to present documents before the house relating to a scam by a minister.

Kumaraswamy said, “I have asked the Speaker for an opportunity to release the documents in the House. There is a possibility that it will be allowed tomorrow.”

Further, Kumaraswamy said that he had earnest intentions. “The scam has caused a loss of hundreds of crores to the government purse. I want to put things on record,” he said.

‘Ready to quit politics’

Speaking on the issue of clearing encroachments in Bengaluru, Kumaraswamy said that he was ready to retire from politics if he is found to have cheated anyone in Bengaluru when he was in power as Chief Minister. “I have spoken about the removal of encroachments in the House,” he noted.
