Within hours of coming into power, several IPS officers transferred

Bengaluru: The BJP government in Karnataka, with in hours of coming into power transferred a few IPS officers in the state.

Senior Advocate Prabhuling K Navadagi has been appointed as the new Advocate General by the Governor, after the resignation of Madhusudan R Naik. Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Amar Kumar Pande and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sandeep Patil were transferred to Intelligence Department, Bidar Superintendent of Police (SP) D Devaraja has been transferred to Bengaluru Central and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) S Girish has been transferred to North-East Division. 

Chikkamagaluru Superintendent of Police K Annamalai has been transferred  to Ramanagara. Curiously, the Congress MLAs are remaining in Eagleton Resort close Bidadi, which goes under the Ramanagara area. 

Other officers transferred are Sandeep Patil, Deputy Inspector General of Police, KSRP has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence, Bengaluru. Amar Kumar Pandey, ADGP, Railways, Bengaluru has been transferred as the ADGP, Intelligence, Bengaluru. S Girish, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Bengaluru is transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police, North-East division, Bengaluru city.

DCP (Central) Bengaluru, Dr. Chandragupta, was replaced by Bidar SP, D. Deveraj. The reason for this transfer is touted to be the CM’s resentment about the Congress-JD(S) leaders being let into the Vidhana Soudha to protest against his swearing in.
