Woman, Former Minister HY Meti’s Sex Tape Victim Survives in Suicide Attempt in Bagalkot

Bagalkot: In a suicide attempt, the woman who allegedly involved in HY Meti’s sex tape scandal narrowly survived and admitted Bagalkot district hospital on Sunday. The victim is reportedly recovering after she took 20 sleeping pills to end her life at her residence. The woman in a statement to media said, she opted for the extreme step after the supporters of HY Meti threatened to her life in the wake of her alleged role in recent HY Meti’s sex tape scandal.

In a sex tape released last year, HY Meti allegedly found having intercourse with an unidentified woman. Following the sex tape row, HY Meti resigned as a state cabinet minister. However, a CID enquiry gave clean chit to the MLA in the sex tape row and described the tape as political conspiracy made by his political opponents.
