As per reports, on Friday Dr. Sudhakar attended “Ujwala Bharata, Ujwala Bhavishya” government programme at Beechaganahalli village and was returning in his car. At this point in time, a youth named Gangappa was seen walking toward the car. Police constable Karibabu who was observing Gangappa, found him to be suspicious. While checking, he found a knife with him.
The police then pushed him aside and took him into custody for further investigation.
