Streak was a highly respected figure in cricket, representing Zimbabwe in 65 Test matches and 189 One Day Internationals (ODIs). He achieved remarkable numbers, scoring 4933 runs and taking 455 wickets for his country in various formats of the game.

What set him apart was his unique feat of being the sole Zimbabwean player to achieve both 1000 runs and 100 wickets in Test matches, along with 2000 runs and 200 wickets in ODIs.

Streak had also served as the coach for Bangladesh’s men’s national cricket team.

Condolences poured in on X (formerly Twitter) following some of Streak’s former teammates breaking the news.
