The 71-year-old legendary musician will be immortalised on-screen by Showtime Documentary Films, which will give the audience a gateway into the unflinching and deeply personal journey into the life of the legendary musician, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will be directed by Lili Fini Zanuck, who said, “Clapton’s music is the foundation of our film – his commitment to the Blues, its traditions and originators is absolute from his earliest days. His personal life conveys the emotional spine of the film…”

The doc will screen at domestic and international film festivals later in 2017.

It will be released theatrically in the US and Canada this fall, while airing nationally on Showtime next year.
