Muzaffarnagar (UP): Former BJP MLA Avtar Singh Bhadana has said the Gujjar community will take revenge against the ruling party in Uttar Pradesh for its insults by throwing it out of power in the upcoming assembly elections.

Bhadhana was addressing a Gujjar sammelan at a religious place in Shukartal near here on Saturday, where he appealed to the community to unite for removing the BJP rule in UP and Uttarakhand in the 2022 elections.

He said the community has been humiliated during BJP rule in UP and demanded an apology from Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi for the controversy surrounding the unveiling of a statue in Dadri.

A row had broken out last week between Rajput and Gujjar communities over the legacy of 9th century King Mihir Bhoj, when his statue was unveiled by the CM at a college in Dadri.

Bhadana, who had resigned from the BJP earlier this year after being miffed over the Centre”s three farms laws, demanded that the “anti-farmer” be repealed.

The former MP said he will form a political party to uphold the dignity of the Gujjar community by showing its political strength in the election.
