Excise dept seize illegally stored alcohol in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Excise Department seized around 7,805 litres of alcohol, vehicles and arrested one for storing alcohol illegally.

Addressing the media, Excise Department personnel revealed that during the raid conducted at Bajal, 3,955 litres of alcohol which was stored in 113 plastic cans were found. And 3,850 litres of alcohol was loaded on a truck.

The estimated cost of alcohol is worth 11 lakh.

Excise Superintendent Vinod, Deputy Superintendents S.S. Amarnath Bhandary and Shivaprasad and other officials participated in the raid, the release added.
