Father and three-month-old baby die in road accident

Puttur: In a tragic incident, a man and his three-month-old daughter died after they were thrown out from an autorickshaw at Sullia near here.

As per police reports, Chittaranjan, Manjula and their daughter Lia boarded on an autorickshaw. The driver allegedly failed to notice a tyre that was placed on the road by a lorry driver who was repairing his vehicle.

The autorickshaw went over the tyre due to which Chittaranjan and Lia were thrown on to the road, and sustained severe head injuries, after which they died.
