Fine imposed on airport parking contractor: Director

Mangaluru: Director of Mangaluru International Airport V V Rao on Tuesday April 3 clarified on the viral video which went viral over social media where in the airport parking in-charged had demanded more than the actual charge.

Addressing the media here, Rao said, “The video which has been circulated is two months old and strict action has been taken up against it. On April 2, we have again imposed a penalty of Rs 2.5 lakh for violating the other norms of the airport by the contracting company”,

The Airports Authority of India will come up with a new parking policy, which will also the cancel the present contractor and tender will be called for a new policy. he added.
