Fire mishap: Two shops gutted due to short circuit

Belthangady: An electrical short circuit left two shops gutted in a fire near the bus stand of the town on the night of Friday, June 14.

The completely destroyed shops were Stylo Hair Dressers and a fancy store, belonging to Keshava Bhandary, a resident of Raghavendra Nagara of Laila village of the taluk.

On getting information of the incident, local MLA Harish Poonja called the owner of the shops, assured of possible help and consoled him.
