Five-year old falls from eighth floor; dies

Mangaluru: A five year old girl slipped and fell from the eighth floor of an apartment here this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shannel Janicia D’Souza (5).

It has been learnt that, Shannel’s mother had been out. Shannel was asleep when her mother went out. Once she woke up, she went to the balcony and climbed up on the grills and leaned forward. As the grills were under construction, she would have lost balance and fell off the 8th floor.

A case has been registered in Kankanady police station.
