The highest damage incurred was at the foot hills of the Western Ghats in Belthangady and the flooding here is receding. The disasters created by the flooding are coming to light slowly. Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, officials and various representatives of the people conducted survey of the affected areas and instilled confidence among the victims by assuring relief measures.

Cleaning the debris is the challenge
Bantwal: Life in Bantwal which was it hard by the floods is slowly returning back to normal and cleaning activity at inundated areas was conducted with full force on Sunday. The water level at Netravati river has also come beneath the danger mark and by the evening was standing at 6.9M.
Floods have left Bantwal market filthy and merchants are busy trying to clean up the mess left in front of their stores at Panemangaluru as well. Besides, houses too were getting cleaned after being inundated by rain water. The sanitation workers of Bantwal Municipality have assisted in the cleaning activity. District and sessions court Judge Kadlur Satyanarayanacharya and Bantwal Judge have visited the affected areas. They were accompanied by Bantwal Tahsildar, assistant commissioner and representatives of the people.
