Four Afghanistan returnees reach M'luru; Sr Theresa Crasta reaches Kazakhstan from Kabul

Mangaluru/Kasaragod: Four from Dakshina Kannada who was reportedly stranded in strife-ridden Afghanistan, has returned to their hometown on Monday, August 23.

The returnees are-Dinesh Rai, Jagadish Poojary, Shravan Anchan and Desmond D’Souza.

Dinesh Rai from Bajpe, Jagadish Poojary from Hosangady near Moodbidri, Desmond Davis D’Souza from Kinnigoli Pakshikere, and Shravan Anchan from Urwa were airlifted from Afghanistan on Sunday.

It is learned that all four have come from Delhi to Mumbai airport. Later, they arrived at Mangaluru airport.

Meanwhile, Sr Theresa Crasta from Bela Periyadka Kasargod has reached Kazakhstan.

Reportedly, sister has sent a message to her family on Monday informing them that she has safely reached Kazakhstan from Kabul. She might return to India from there in couple of days.

Sr Theresa could not reach the airport for the past few days, due to the crisis in Afghanistan.
