Four arrested for hacking eatery owner to death

Bengaluru: The Rajagopal Nagar police, on Wednesday, arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 37-year-old man on May 12. However, the main accused Kishore is yet to be arrested.

The deceased identified as Umesh was the owner of a roadside eatery.

According to the police Kishore wanted to settle scores with Umesh as the latter had sent him to jail and offered money to four of his friends – Rakesh, Jitendra, Sumanth Raj and Pradeep to murder Umesh. The four agreed to the plan and on May 12 they barged into the eatery shop and hacked Umesh to death.

As per reports, Kishore had filmed intimate moments of Umesh’s wife while he was staying at their residence and tried to blackmail her into having a physical relationship with him. She however complained to her husband whereafter Umesh asked Kishore to leave the house. Two days after the incident Kishore uploaded the videos on social media, following which Umesh filed a complaint with police.

Kishore was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. He was out on bail when he conspired the murder.

Efforts are on to nab Kishore. Meanwhile his associates have been remanded in judicial custody said the police.
