Four children among 15 killed after apartment wall collapse in Pune

Pune: Fifteen people, including four children, died after the wall of a residential building collapsed owing to the heavy downpour in Pune early this morning.

The wall is said to have collapsed into the slums, occupied by labourers adjoining the housing society.

The incident is said to have occurred at around 1.45 am on Saturday. Cars parked near the wall too went down as the ground caved in.

A team of NDRF personnel has been rushed to the spot and an operation to efforts are on to rescue those trapped in the debris.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital.
