Four Girls Appeared for SSLC Exams Commit Suicide in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Four female students who appeared for SSLC examinations conducted for the academic year 2016-17 in Karnataka state committed suicide as three of them failed in the exams where as another candidate secured less marks than expected.

The students who committed the extreme act are identified as Manasa, a resident of Kodagapura located at Gundlupet taluk, Preethi, a student of Sarvodaya School in Shivamogga, Anjalai from Adagondanahalli of Gubbi taluk. Meanwhile, Dharwad district Gopalapura based Mamatha ended her life as she scored less marks than her expectations.

Meanwhile, three girls who appeared for Pre University examinations ended their life in various parts of the state.  Nikhitha, a resident of Channapatna and a student of Chennambika College here ended her life on a railway track in Maddur as she failed to get good marks as expected.  Another candidate, Pushpa, a resident of Doddaiahnapalya of Chitradurga district ended her life as she failed to clear her all papers. Meanwhile, in a tragic incident, Suchithra from Horeyala of Gundlupet taluk hanged self on information that she failed in the exams even if she cleared all her papers.
