The term Pura refers to the body. All dehadharees (embodied beings) are referred to as Purushas, and these can be male or female. There are two categories: Kshara (mortal beings or Jiva Rashi) and Akshara (Lakshmi or immortal). The wise are those who accept the supreme status of God. Buddhi means the power to make decisions. Without the ability to recognize God as Purushottama, it is implied that one lacks intelligence.
A Buddhiman is one who possesses the power of discernment. If one does not comprehend God’s supremacy, they are considered Abuddhiman (unwise). Apart from God, everything else is transient. Most of what we speak pertains only to this life, but God alone is connected to all our past lives.
There is an eternal relationship between God and all beings. He knows everything about us, including our past. We must nurture and strengthen this relationship. Hence the statement, “Kritakritya cha Bharata“.
