Bengaluru: With the spread of the novel coronavirus to over 100 countries, across six continents, Indians have become sceptical about travelling abroad, meanwhile, BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje on Thursday requested the people of the state to postpone the foreign trips for some time.
Taking to Twitter Shobha wrote, “Discussed with Foreign Ministry about the evacuation of Indians from the CoronaVirus affected areas. Government of India has taken necessary steps to bring all Kannadigas back from COVID-19 affected areas.
“In this regard requesting fellow Kannadigas to postpone your foreign trips for some time,” she added.
The new coronavirus outbreak has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. The number of coronavirus cases in over 100 countries around the world has risen to more than 124,000, with over 4,500 deaths, including a jump in fatalities in Iran and Italy. In India, the number of novel coronavirus patients has risen to 60, with 10 more positive cases being reported since Tuesday’s update.
