In the late 1990s, two visionary doctoral students, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, crossed paths at Stanford University. Recognizing a shared vision to enhance accessibility to the World Wide Web, they dedicated themselves to creating a more effective search engine. Their endeavor began in dormitory confines and culminated in the establishment of Google Inc. on September 27, 1998, with operations initially housed in a rented garage.

Throughout the years, Google’s layout as well as its logo has undergone subtle but significant changes, each iteration reflecting the company’s growth and adaptability. Nevertheless, the core mission endures: to organize the world’s information and ensure its universal accessibility and utility.

Presently, billions of individuals worldwide rely on Google for diverse purposes, spanning from search and connectivity to work and leisure, making it an integral part of daily life.

It is worth noting that the commemorative Doodle will be visible worldwide, save for a few regions, including Russia.

Just days prior, on September 25, the platform paid tribute to South African jazz virtuoso Todd Matshikiza. The Doodle, crafted by South Africa-based guest artist Keith Vlahakis, celebrated his commissioned cantata “Uxolo,” which resonated through the orchestra at the 70th Johannesburg Festival in 1956, leaving an indelible mark on musical history.
