Mangaluru: With the state government’s nod to introduce Beary as the third language in the primary and high-class students from the next academic year, an expert committee has been set up by Karnataka Beary Sahitya Acadamy involving Beary writers and others for the preparation of textbooks for primary and high-class students of Coastal District.

Speaking with this regard Acadamy Chairman Rahim Uchil said that the government has approved to introduce Beary in Schools and the students from VI to X can opt to learn Beary in school.
“The Acadamy has formed a committee for this project with experts Prof. A V Navada, writers Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvlli, Dr. Annaaiah Kulal, Hamza Malar, Ismath Pajeer, Abdul Rehman Kuthethoor, Ayesha Abdul Rasheed and others. The preparation of the textbook will be completed within a month and subsequently, the government will print and distribute the textbooks,” he added.
He further added that the idea of introducing Beary language is to promote the language and culture. With other projects in the pipeline, the Acadamy will also strive to bring due recognition for the language as they have the plan to introduce mobile app to share knowledge and publishing online books.
