The Swamiji, accompanied by his disciple Sri Sushrindra Theertha Sripada, will arrive in the city after concluding the pilgrimage of religious centers as part of spiritual preparation for Paryaya and will be accorded a grand welcome, said the President of Paryaya Swagatha Samiti, Dr. HS Ballal, in a press conference on Saturday.
Former MLA K Raghupathi Bhat said that Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada will visit Kannarpadi Sri Jayadurga Parameshwari Temple at 3 pm on January 8. After the welcome, Swamiji will proceed towards Sri Krishna Matha in a grand procession from Jodukatte. The procession will be passing through KM Marg, Triveni Circle, Sanskrit College, and Kanakadasa Road before reaching Car Street, he added.
Various cultural and religious groups, showcasing folkloric, cultural, and Vedic musical instruments, will participate in this grand procession.

A significant highlight of the event will be the decorative lighting of the route from Kapu Dandatheertha at Udupi Kinnimulki ‘Swagata Gopura’ for the first time.
Hore Kanike procession for the Paryaya festivities will begin on January 9, in which various organizations, temples, and the public will offer groceries, vegetables, etc., to Sri Krishna Matha.
