Groom gets a thrashing as his wife turns up at the wedding!

A married man who tried to get married a second time by concealing his first marriage got a life lesson the old-fashioned way. The bizarre incident took place recently in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The marriage of the man, a resident of Soobabazar of Gorakhpur, was fixed a year ago. On December 5, the groom along with his wedding procession reached the girl’s house, DNA news report said.

But, a huge surprise awaited him at the wedding venue. Before the groom’s wedding party could arrive, his first wife reached the venue with their four-year-old child.

A shocked groom started running away as soon as he saw his first wife. But, the wedding guests caught hold of him and thrashed him before turning him over to the police.

During the inquiry, the groom’s wife told the police that they were married for five years and had a child together. She had reached the venue to prevent him from remarrying by concealing his earlier marriage.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the groom and a registered case, DNA reported.
