Guess why this driver was charged Rs 10k despite parking inside the lines at car park

Even after parking his car inside the lines of an empty parking place, a motorist was slammed with a hefty punishment of £100 (Rs 10,000).

A snapshot of the vehicle, however, reveals that the driver made a mistake.

F1shcake, a Reddit user, posted a photo of his car parked outside a shopping center and cautioned UK drivers not to ‘make the same mistake.’

The car is well within the lines, and there are no other vehicles in the area. However, a photograph taken from a different position shows the car’s front bumper straddling the mounted curb.

“Don’t make the same mistake I did. Overhanging the curb at an even deserted Cheshire Oaks results in a £100 fine,” wrote the Redditor.

He further added, “I get if there’s a wheelchair user who can’t get past… But is a bit of a feels bad when it was so unbelievably quiet,”

Simply put, the man was fined for driving too close to the curb in the Cheshire Oaks parking lot.

While many sympathized with the motorist and thought the fee was excessive, others said he deserved to be punished for “poor parking.”
