As per the Guinness World Records, Valentyn put four tea bags in four cups. To qualify as proper rooibos tea, each tea bag had to be dipped for atleast two minutes. She quickly kept moving as she poured the first three teapots and added teabags in them.
Meanwhile, to taste the tea, a group of tea drinkers comprising local students and community members were present.
As per the policy of the Guinness World Record, it also monitored that nothing was wasted.
In an hour into the competition, she said confidentially that she had made 170 cups. But it was revealed that she had surpassed her own counts and made 249 cups of tea in total. She had made over four cups per minute.
However, one cup was disqualified for not fulfilling the quantity criteria.
Reacting to her new record, Valentyn said that she was very excited about it and for her community of Wupperthal.
Reportedly, Valentyn attempted this feat to boost tourism and celebrate the resilience of the Wupperthal community as the wildfire destroyed the mountain village in the year 2018.
