Gundlupet: Head-on crash claims life of car driver as vehicle ignites

In a tragic incident, a car and an Eicher vehicle collided head-on, resulting in a fiery accident.

The car driver, identified as Muzamil Ahmed (35) from Mysuru, unfortunately, lost his life in the accident as he was unable to escape the burning vehicle. Meanwhile, the driver of the Eicher vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The collision occurred when the Eicher vehicle was plying from Gundlupet to Mysuru and the car was speeding in the opposite direction. The car crashed into the rear of the Eicher vehicle, causing it to catch fire. Fortunately, the occupants of the Eicher vehicle managed to jump out and escape unharmed.

Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade promptly arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames.

Chamarajanagar Superintendent of Police, Padmini Saho, arrived later that night to inspect the site and gather information about the incident.
Circle Inspector Kiran Kumar, Sub Inspector Charan Gowda, and other police personnel were also present.

A case has been registered at the Begur police station in connection with this tragic incident.
