Hakay Akshay Machindra takes charge as Udupi SP

Udupi: The newly appointed Superintendent of Police Hakay Akshay Machindra assumed the office on Wednesday, August 17.

Speaking to the media, he said, “Udupi district has a rich heritage. The district is in the forefront when it comes to education and tourism. I’m proud to serve here”.

“My first preference would be to maintain communal harmony and put a break on illegal activities in the district”, he added.

Akshay is basically from Nashik of Maharashtra, He is a 2015 batch IPS officer having graduated in Computer Engineering in 2011.

During his six-month probationary period, he was posted to the Dakshina Kannada district.

Later, he served as Gulbarga ASP and for two and a half years as Chikkamagaluru SP.
