Health officials carry out enormous task of tracing contacts of Coronavirus affected B'luru techie

Bengaluru: The health officials informed that they have identified the passengers who were seated two rows in front and two rows behind the 40-year-old techie after he was tested positive for coronavirus in Bengaluru.

The officials informed that so far the passengers who have seated two rows in front and two rows behind the techie has been identified and that work is on to isolate them and also that they will be kept under surveillance. However, around 156 people on the flight are now in isolation and the people who came in contact with him at the workplace are also identified.

Meanwhile, Medical Education Minister, K Sudhakar told the media, “The patient is healthy, there is no need to panic, there is no aggrieved condition reported, he is doing fine.”

According to the health officials, a total of 982 people have been identified for observation, out of which 266 people have completed 28 days of observation and 700 people are currently under home quarantine. These include persons who have travelled to COVID-19 affected countries and the contacts of COVID-19 positive cases.

It also gathered that a total of around 91,911 passengers have been screened in Karnataka. 61,825 have been screened at the Kempegowda International Airport, 25,003 passengers have been screened at the Mangaluru International Airport and 5,323 people have been screened at Mangaluru and Karwar seaports.
