Heavy rains expected in DK; IMD issues yellow alert for coastal districts

Mangaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy rain will lash Dakshina Kannada for the next few days and issued a yellow alert for the coastal districts on Saturday.

The rainfall distribution was scattered across the districts on Friday with Udupi receiving light to moderate rainfall. However, the weather in DK remained cloudy.

IMD has predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the coastal districts on Saturday.
