Why?

This initiative will fulfill the need to sensitize the people on the generally available and used herbal plants and to pass on the information of traditional medicine to the future generation. These herbal gardens will be created at the empty places in the premises of the schools.

Good experiment

“Different species of plants will be planted in the school area close to one acre. This is a good experiment,” observed Sharmila B. Headmistress.

Inauguration on July 7th

On July 7th, the first herbal garden in the taluk will be inaugurated at the government high school at Nada. Many plants have been brought from Pilikula and planted at Nada School. There should be proper water facility and availability of space while going as per the action plan. It’s even better if the GP can provide workers with job cards. The school administration must take responsibility for protection and taking care,” said Ganesh Tantri, forest officer, Belthangady.
