Speaking to the reporters, Nagesh said,” Several students are protesting outside the colleges demanding hijab inside the classrooms. Those who miss the examination will not be given a chance to appear for the examination again. Hindu students who are missing exams will also not be given a chance.”

“Despite High court order, students are refusing to enter the college premises. These students are being supported by Congress. They are trying to create chaos among the students. Also, the party is now protesting against the Saffron flag remark. We need not learn patriotism from Congress. During Siddaramaiah’s tenure, the party used to safeguard those who insulted our country and national flag. ,” he added.

Talking about the re-opening of schools in Shivamogga, he said, ” The situation is tense in the district. Today, schools are closed due to curfew. We will monitor the situation and will re-open the schools tomorrow.”
